Au revoir L.A., bon jour Paris!

Image
We are off on our first family trip to France with little Em! We're hanging out in Paris the first few days and then on to Provence, Cannes, Nice and the southern region! Please pray for our travels to be safe. Oh and for little Em to be on her very best behavior {fingers crossed!}. Love you! xo ps. Here are a few photos from our LAST trip to France, many many moons ago, pre Emma. Hope these put you in the Parisian spirit, even if you can't join us this time. Maybe next time. :)

How darling are these personalized wine bottles ? I saw them on A Cup of Jo this am and couldn't help but repost, I love them all. Perfect for a housewarming, dinner party, or a just because gift. Mainly the Merci bottle is catching my eye today... hmmm. Wonder why?

Air Travel

About 6 months ago, after booking our travel to France, we called the lovely Air France to confirm that they could seat us in the bulkhead seating, specifically the ones that were able to acomodate an infant with the cradle. They confirmed numerous times for us and said that were were all set. Sweet! We were so excited to have everything settled. We were at total peace knowing we would have a place to put Em to sleep on the 11 hour overnight international flight. Fast forward to yesterday. We received our Expedia booking confirmation which for some odd reason for the first part of our trip had us at the very, very back of the plane, definitely not bulkhead/cradle seating. Hmmmm. So I decided this was probably just a typo, especially as we had called to confirm numerous times, spoken to numerous reps. Oh no. But while speaking to cheerful Charlotte later that day, she informed me this was not the case. And after speaking with her managers, "there was no way to correct THEIR er...

This is how you do Easter...

Image
at the Hollywood Bowl! Our church put on an incredible Easter service with full orchestra, gospel choir, contemporary praise band, funny jokes, heartfelt sermon, and don't forget the location, location, location. It can't get any better than the Hollywood Bowl! But with good friends and yummy food, it did get better. We enjoyed epic mango fruit salad, Yum Yum doughnuts {thanks Fendys!}, and blueberry muffins while watching the service. FRIENDS! {D, L and baby G!} Stuffing Kim's face... Sing it... {getting mad dogged by the toddler behind me} Fendy Family! He is risen!

Happy Monday!

Surrounded by Boys

Image
This past weekend we went to the park by our place, with a few of Emma's boy friends. Meet Jackson, we can call him Jack . He shares Emma's birthday {or vice versa}! They were born on the same day, same hospital, just a few doors down from each other. Crazy huh! Jack is pretty mellow, which is a nice treat from our busy bee! Jack has a few nicknames, we can call him Mr.Blue Eyes because his eyes are as light and sparkly as the Caribbean sea. See... Meet Axel, although you have already been introduced to him before . Little Axel is only 2 months old, but is really progressing quickly for his age. Really he hasn't got much choice though, because he's got to catch up to the other older boys to win over our little Em. He's a total sweetheart, and super good looking... so I think he has a great shot! Later that morning, Jack showed Axel and Em his picture book... Axel and Em discussed how they didn't have a picture book like Jack and how their parents need ...

Girls will be girls

Image
Emma has made quite a few girlfriends, well, really she kind of inherited them because they were my friends who just happened to get preggers with little girls around the same time I did. We had a play date with Darling Lulu and Adorable Maddie this past week. These 3 amigas are gonna give the boys a run for their money one day, look out! These little girls are just too cute for words. But while we were hanging out, it did become apparent that girls = drama. Emma and Maddie started to get jealous that Lulu was able to crawl away on her own without mommies help... Talking behind Lulu's back, the cattiness begins... Bring it! Maddie started to take Lulu's side, explaining how Lulu must have done her "tummy time" better than Emma... Emma didn't take well to this comment. Back to normal like nothing ever happened. Lulu and Em make up. Then all the sudden, Lulu pushed Maddie down for no reason! Emma is appalled! These two cannot be trusted! In the...

Lazy weekend

Image
We stayed pretty close to home this weekend, with just a few errands and outings. Em's friend Jack showed her how to do "tummy time"... we went to the park {swings, bubbles, and friends}... played jailbird on the front steps... went for a run with Em in the BOB... and we ate Blueberries! How was your weekend?

Bunny Baskets

I am in LOVE with these Martha Stewart Easter Baskets . After seeing these, and with Easter this coming weekend I just may have to get crafty!

More cousins...

Image
Here are a few more cousin photos from the weekend! I couldn't help posting more, they are just too cute. ;) Cass & Chris with their silly band lips... Cass is serious about her "training" {at Nana and Papa's house} for her 8 lap jog-a-thon coming up... A little tired after the big loop around the kitchen to dining room... Chris loves his cousin "Emmy"... Cody and Em playing... Last but not least, the newest {quietest} member of the cousin clan... baby Westly. :)
