Birthday Triathalon, Dinner & Seals

Image
This weekend was great, we had lots of events and people to be thankful for. Chris and Evangeline were visiting this weekend, which as always was super fun. Although, Friday started out a little rough, Emma had been up all night with a awful cough, throwing up, etc. Not good. So Friday afternoon Kyle took her to the doctor where they found she had a small respiratory infection/broncitis. So onto the antibiotics she went. Saturday I ended up having to miss out on the SB Triathlon that our friends Dave, Bev and the {Birthday Boy} Chris were participating in, so I could take care of Emma, so missing that was a bummer for me. But good news is Kyle and Evangeline were able to go and cheer them on. Saturday night my sweet parents babysat Emma so I could sneak away for a few hours and join them for a Birthday dinner at Firestone Brewery. We had a great time! {thanks Mom & Dad!} Sunday we enjoyed church, a nap, and an afternoon at Port San Luis... trying desperately to see th...

Pink Piggy Party

Image
Em celebrated her 2nd Birthday this past month with a pink piggy party ! We have been so busy since we moved a few months back that we just decided to have a little family party with one or two friends who live close by to celebrate the occasion. We wanted it to be a fun and relaxing afternoon. We had pink piggy banks for the kiddos favors and played pin the tail on the piggy. We had a great time! Thanks so much to all of you that were able to stop by! Family photo, with Piggy joining us, of course. We ate A LOT of food.  Mini Mac and Cheese cups with bacon bits It was a {small} family party, and I know we have a lot of family, so by small I mean not the 60-70 people like last years Birthday party ! :-) Uncle "Kiss" and Evanga"weeen" The Shaw siblings! Surprise special guest, sweet Axel {Em's LA "boy" friend} came by to serenade us. Make a wish!!!

Kauai Family Trip

We took a vacation a few weeks back to visit Kyle's parents, George & Carrie, on the gorgeous North Shore of Kauai {where they live, lucky right!} we had a wonderful time! Here's some of our photos from the trip.  Beach swinging, happy Hawaiian girls {finally we snuck a smiling photo of her} Brave Girl! She loved the long legged froggy/toad. Our home away from home for the week, at Omi and Opa's place. The big house has the most magical pool, with absolutely stunning views.  St. Regis stop for a lovely Sunday morning brunch. If you are on the North Shore of Kauai, absolutely try this brunch, it is beyond scrumptious. I think it's the best brunch I've ever had. Oh and their desserts... our fave was the lavender pudding, it was ahhhh-mazing. Cotton Candy! Our wonderful hosts for the week. Best sushi EVER at the Dolphin! Date night at Duke's for Taco Tuesday. Sleeping G...

Barbara + Matt

Image
We headed to San Diego earlier this summer for one of my dear childhood friends weddings. The day was gorgeous, just like the stunning bride and the details of wedding and reception could not have been more perfect. It was so fun to see all the sweet little details she had creatively come up with. Barbara and her new hubby Matt are absolutely darling together and I couldn't be happier for them. Here are a few of our snapshots from their special day.  My love and I.  The Wedding Ceremony    {this is where I cried tears of happy joy....}     The Reception.
