Let it go, girl!

Image
She hasn't even seen the movie Frozen yet, but she has seen a few clips and has definitely heard the songs, ahem, let it go!!!  But somehow she managed to start totally performing the songs, up on her coffee table stage, with hand motions, facial expressions and a (play ice cream/cup) microphone! It is the cutest thing ever, and it cracks me up!  Snow gwols whiiii on mountain tonight... Not footpwint to be see.... A kingdom of isolaaaaa.... Whet it gooooo, let it goo, can hold back anymowwwweee!

The barn

Image
One of our favorite things to do on a slow weekday morning when both girls are home is to head out to the barn and feed the animals, climb hay bales, get treats, pick some fruit and picnic outside.  Today, Em said she only wanted to feed the non-clucky ones (ie: no chickens, roosters or turkeys!) ...ha!

Boxcar children

Image
We made a big boxcar last week with our little ladies, and needless to say baby boo boo loved it while our other child did not! It was so funny to watch the big difference in their personalities play out.

Sissy swimmers

Unsolicited sissy snuggles, these two are just the cutest (a bit biased, I know!)  Our little swimmer!! Ready to get all the rings. 😉

Decor updates

Image
My hubby surprised me this weekend for my birthday/Mother's Day in helping to redecorate our bedroom. We never focused on our own room because once we moved into this house, I got pregnant, we changed jobs 3 times e ach, and once Ava came along she was sick most of the time, so our medical bills and taking care of her obviously took precedence. But finally we are all paid off and she has been much healthier these last few months (for the most part anyways) so we went for it!  We didn't have a lot to work with, but it was just enough! With new paint, new artwork (which was designed by Kyle), and new lamps (thanks mom & dad), plus a few extra touches, I think we have made quite a change! And I love it!!  The color... The artwork mock ups...  Before...  {we literally have not done anything to our room prior to this... I mean, a kids lamp!?} Practicing her letters with Dad... And the final just 5 ho...

Mommy Daughter Date!!

Image
We celebrated, well, nothing really, besides the fact that I love my girl! We had a mommy + daughter date and instead of our planned movie date to see Cinderella, when the movie left theaters the day prior to our date we decided to do something else. So, we headed up to Madonna Inn for toffee crunch cake, pink balloons, and exploring the secret garden! We had such a good time. I love spending one-on-one time with my big girl.

Happy Mother's Day!
