Flourish + Fun

This weekend we hosted our first "family dinner" at our new place. Now that we live nearby my family {yay!} we can finally partake in their monthly family dinners! It was a good kick in the pants for us to get moving and get a few things together, such as ordering chairs for people to sit on... basic but very important details!  We made an Italian feast and had an insanely delicious triple layered chocolate cake. Suffice to say, it was a success, we had a really fun time and are looking forward to many more! All evening Em was super smitten with her older cousin Cass, she's already looking up to her! :)   {Note - Family Dinner was after the antibiotics kicked in and everyone was sans strep throat, thank goodness!}

So what have we been up to this past month {besides working all the time}? Well, here you go. You're full All-grin update is below! :) Uncle Chris & Evangeline came to visit! Sadly I missed seeing them because I was in LA for work. But they had a great time. They went on hikes, out to eat, and got some good quality time with Em. Emma loves her Uncle "Kiss" Kyle's annual man camping-back packing trip. Shenanigans, all weekend long I'm sure of it!  For my belated Birthday {I spent my entire actual Birthday working, non stop} our best friends from Santa Monica came by from a quick visit, it was so wonderful to see them after such a long hard month. We went out to Luna Red for global tapas & Blue for dessert and drinks, and Susie came too! The following morning we stopped by Avila Barn to feed the animals (and "mommy"), take a tractor ride, and buy some treats. We loved seeing our friends!   Lovebirds.  L...

We have been completely MIA. I have been working ridiculously long hours for the past month {ugh!} which means Kyle has had to step in and be Mr.Mom/Designer/Home Repair guy... and we all had strep throat this last week. Not fun. We'll be back soon, I promise. In the meantime, here's a photo of our little model. :)

Em likes to be super silly in the back seat when Daddy's driving around town running errands, which would be super cute, except for the fact that I {Daddy} have to drive and not crash the car. So, when we come to a stoplight – it's ON!  Here she is clownin' around with Daddy's hat…
