Flourish + Fun

Chardonnay Symposium!  A 5 course amazing dinner at Lido in Dolphin Bay with Chardonnay pairings for each course. A fantastic event, gorgeous views, great company... need I say more! Susie + Rob - An evening of the most epic game of 'Pillow Mountain' ever! Eating more and more and getting wilder hair by the day! We like to lounge in our PJ's for a long time in the mornings. The Awana Cubbie Carnival last week, isn't she a cute little deer-in-the-headlights. {and look at all of those badges, this girl is a smarty-pants, she's memorized all her verses!} This sassy flirt really likes the little boys! HA! She puts on the charm and started walking taking steps this past week, go Ava, go!  {via my iphone}

This weekend was a long but quick whirlwind, but when is it not for us right?! I had a wedding to coordinate at the beautiful Spanish Oaks Ranch in Santa Margarita in the blazing 95 degree heat, yowza! It was a sweet down-home BBQ style wedding, with eclectic jars, whisky cocktails and a homemade dessert bar. It was a gorgeous day for the happy couple. They were so sweet together, I was so thankful to be a part of their special day. I absolutely loved them together!!! And how picture perfect are they! Later that night we had a campout at our sweet friends Carrie & Greg's backyard in A-town! They had tons of families and friends, fresh donuts, s'mores and lots of fun activities for the kiddos to do. We had a great time, but sadly there are no photos, because well, we were actually having such a crazy {again, there were tons of kids!} good time that we forgot! ;-) The next morning we headed over to the {iii design} head honcho's home, Missy's pla...

It is getting a bit out of control HOT this week, so we are taking lots of beach days to cool off! Ava had her first official beach day and absolutely loved it! And she loved eating the sand. :-)

The Fab Fendys came up this week to celebrate my birthday with us. We headed to AG to Ember for some pretty delicious eats, drinks, and lots of laughs and fun. Having them visit is such a treat, but it makes me realize how much I miss living everyday by them. My sweet friend, Jaye and I. 

This little darling is finally getting over her terrible stomach/ear infection/cold and flu/teething issues from the past two weeks {antibiotics, take #2!} but now she is having massive freak outs at night and crying bloody murder from separation anxiety. When will we ever get sleep, oyyyyy!!!

This Sunday we celebrate this lovely lady and all she has done for us. Isn't she lovely!

Em's preschool had them do special artwork and plant special flowers for all of the mama's. It is so sweet to come pick up your little one and be showered with love.... until you then ask for a hug from your sweet little toddler and they get attitude, throw a mini-tantrum and walk away... HA! That's motherhood huh!?

As our back yard renovation gets fully under way, and the bank account is slowly drained of all remaining funds, it's left us to dream of what the possibilities could be… There are still things to be purchased and/or built – the kids play area, the garden, potted plants and, of course, the patio. Lo and behold, we stumble across this contest on hayneedle.com , which could grant us the patio of our dreams, complete with a sweet smoker for Daddy…  Well, it's getting late so, sweet (patio) dreams everyone!

Yep, that's right, he won... AGAIN! One more year of winning the annual GUAC OFF under his belt. Not trying to brag, but he does have the best guacamole around. :-)

***Updated post! Chris & Evangeline got engaged this past weekend... on half dome in Yosemite! So of course we had to head up there for the weekend to celebrate with them. We stayed in a rental home nestled in the mountains close by. Ava was pretty sick {again!} so we didn't do all of the activities we had planned, we just hung around the lake. Later that weekend, we met up with everyone for a surprise engagement party in Groveland at the Pine Mountain Lake Stables. It was Emma's first time on a horse, and she was super brave. She loved it. The horses name was Susie and she was given a purple helmet, which she was thrilled by. :-) Montana & Josephine decided to try sitting on the horsey too! :-) Most of the party crew!

When we were downtown last week for Farmers Market we stopped by Wilder Floral Co. for free May day flowers!

This little lady has been teething lately. I am just over it, and soooo ready for her little teeth to pop through. She still only has 4!!! She has been sucking on that paci night and day just to keep her happy.... Come on teeth. *update: she had 2 teeth breakthrough this weekend, so we are up to 6 now! :-)
