Baby Girl :: Emily's Sprinkle

Image
My darling friend Amanda and I hosted a shower for our sweet friend Emily at my home this past weekend. Amanda did most of the heavy lifting for this one, so to speak! She did such a wonderful job with the prep, the menu, and almost everything in between. Despite lots of fire drills that arose while we were prepping for the party (oy, haha!), the actual shower went great (thankfully!) we had a great time celebrating Emily and her baby girl!! We can't wait to meet her!

Life lately (with the boot, eh!)

Image
This happened almost two weeks ago... #toddlertantrum+stairs But then I forgive her because she's so sweet "Ava sowwy, mommy I wove you" Then when the crazy exhausting week is coming to an end, Em decided to accidently take a head dive into the patio cement (ouch!!) So to make our (hurt)selves feel a tad bit better we headed to the pier for amazing whale watching (it was seriously perfect timing, so incredible!) and some uplifting sea breeze. It was the perfect start to the weekend!

Crawfish Cookout

Image
Our neighbors throw an annual (this is the 6th year) crawfish cookout, and it's kind of amazing! Prior to cooking they have crawfish Olympics where the kids pick one each, line it up in the center of the ring and then they all race! It is so fun. The center point is the start of the race.... After the race, they'll boil the crawfish with seasoning,  potatoes, sausage, corn, artichokes, and of course, tons of crawfish. Everyone sits down to a huge long table covered in tablecloths and they pour all of the food onto the table, and everyone digs in.
