The Holiday Part 2

Our second portion of the holiday involved New Year's week, where we were blessed to hang out and enjoy the non-stop action of the Sullivan family!

We started by welcoming them to our home in Santa Monica, and what better way to do that then to hit up the local Ice Skating rink! Cassidy was kind of a natural in the tot rink, she even hit up the big kid rink by the end of the evening with K & J! Christopher took after his father (hahaha) and was like a wet noodle, limp-legged slipping all over the place, but hey, he's only two!

The next day, we snuck away from Uncle Ky and headed down South to San Diego. Our first stop was the Mission in San Diego. We viewed the old church, art, secret passageways and Lords Candy (a tree) to which Cassidy exclaimed to Katie across the courtyard "Mommy, the Lord likes Candy!"

The next morning we randomly found out their was a HUGE parade going on right below our hotel, which could be conveniently viewed from our floor and the cool glass elevator.

Later that day we headed to the Wild Animal Park. We rode the animal carousel and went on a jungle safari through the animal preserve. We saw Giraffes, Gorillas, Rhinos, Cheetahs, Lions, and much much more!

Finally, New Year's Eve was upon us so we headed back North to Santa Monica. We rang in the New Year with cartoons, hot chocolate (complete with whipped cream and sprinkles), a thrilling East Coast countdown (9pm PST people!), hugs, kisses, and finally rocked it out by dancing with our air guitars! It was a fantastic way to start 2010!

I hope all goes well with the pregnancy and Lisa soon gets over the nausea.
I think you were a bit hard on Jason. I think Christopher is very athletic for his age.
    Love,
    Mum
