Dinner Guests

Last night we were privileged to have my old youth pastor Matt, his wife Marlo, and their two kids over to visit us for dinner. It's a HUGE treat since they are currently living in Quito, Equador and are only visiting the states for the Summer. Matt and Marlo, next to my family, have probably had the biggest influence on my Faith and how I live my life. They really practice what they preach and live a life exemplifying truth and love. They are incredible people both individually and together.

We took a walk around the promenade and bluffs before dinner and then headed back to our place for a mexican meal.

It was so much fun to catch up with them and hear about their adventures on the other side of the world. It was also funny to hear silly stories and little things that they miss, that we take for granted, like how they don't have good peanut butter, Reese's peanut butter cups and cheddar cheese.  Thankfully we just happened to have some Reese's ice cream bars in the freezer, ready to go for them! ;-)

We love and miss them, and were so delighted to have them as our guests. We loved getting some good hang out time!
